IF YOU HAVE A WAGE CLAIM, WHY NOT GO IT ON YOUR OWN?

Imagine two different travel scenarios. In the first, you book some tickets to a completely unfamiliar locale for your vacation. You check out some guide books and do some research on the internet about your destination ahead of time, but other than that you decide to wing it. As it turns out, you end up wasting a lot of time trying to figure out directions and where the best places to visit even are.  Meanwhile, you fall into some tourist traps and have some poor experiences at some bad restaurants. You even get taken advantage of because you’re clearly a tourist.

In the second travel scenario, you decide to visit the same place on vacation, but this time you decide to visit and stay with some friends who have lived there for years. In this scenario, you have experienced guides to show you how to navigate the area, help you avoid the tourist scams, take you to the best off-the-grid local restaurants, and speak the local lingo for you.  This knowledge allows for much deeper interactions and communication with the people you encounter. All of these factors most certainly allow for a much more fulfilling, efficient, and all-around successful trip.

This second travel scenario is kind of what it’s like to have an AndersonDodson team helping you navigate the legal process. The realm of helping hard-working employees lay claim to the wages to which they are rightfully entitled is our hometown. We know our way around that town like the back of our hands, and we consider it our duty and mission to use our in-depth knowledge to help you have the most rewarding and successful experience possible any time you visit.

Sure, you might be able to do it on your own. Perhaps you prefer the type of trip described in our first scenario. Maybe you’re the kind of person who can book a ticket to Brazil on a whim, and head straight into the Amazon for a weeklong camping and hiking adventure with nothing more than some bug repellant and a water bottle in your backpack. If you’re that kind of dedicated do-it-yourselfer, by all means, knock yourself out. Here’s hoping it all turns out great for you, both in the Amazon and with your wage claims. But, a vast majority of people are going to have much more success with a skilled and knowledgeable tour guide.

And then there are the people who do not fit into either scenario above, but would prefer to just stay at home, safe and sound. They never go anywhere and never do anything different than how they’ve always done it (even if they know they really should).

We at AndersonDodson do not recommend either the do-it-yourself or the do-nothing approach. If your wages are being stolen or underpaid by your employer, you need to take action to protect your rights, and you need to enlist the guidance of legal professionals who thoroughly understand the system and will always put your best interests first.

So go ahead and get out there! You need a vacation and there are some really beautiful places in this world, full of opportunity and the chance to expand your horizons, increase your confidence, and make you a better person.

But once you get there, align yourself with folks who know their way around the system.  That’s what we’re here for.

You have rights—we know how to enforce them. Contact AndersonDodson today to get started.
