Video FAQs

If your employer has just asked you to work off the clock it’s the same thing as them reaching into your pocket and saying, can I just take $20.00 or $50.00 or $100.00. Whether you want to give them that money or give them your time free is a decision for you to make but what I can tell you is this, you should record that time if you choose to do it and keep good track because you still deserve to be paid for every hour that you’ve worked and you still deserve to be paid overtime if you work more than 40 hours in a week. You may not choose to pursue that claim then and there but you should record that time and should there come a time where you want to get paid for those hours you have the right to be paid for those hours.

You’ll understand from one of the other videos that you can watch on our page that there is a time limit during which you can make a claim and after that amount of time has passed you can’t make a claim but if you keep track of your hours and you’re an employee and you do decide to work hours “off the clock” you still deserve to be paid for those hours and we will help you pursue those claims.
