Alex Gastman

Associate attorney Alex Gastman suddenly and unexpectedly passed away on October 19, 2017 at the age of 32. Our team at AndersonDodson joins his family, friends, colleagues, clients, opposing counsel, and many others whose lives he touched in mourning this sudden loss, but also in celebrating his life. Below is his bio that describes some, but not by any stretch all, of who he was:

Alexander L. Gastman joined AndersonDodson to continue the fight against unscrupulous wage-stealing employers.

Before joining AndersonDodson, he practiced in a busy Long Island litigation firm, primarily handling employment law matters on behalf of employees.  Alex is admitted to practice in courts in New York, Colorado and New Jersey.  Alex is a skilled and experienced trial lawyer, having handled State and Federal matters ranging from criminal defense to sexual harassment and, of course, wage and hour.

Alex received his JD from Pace University School of Law, cum laude, where he served on the Environmental Law Review, headed up the Moot Court and Mock Trial Board, and represented Pace in many trial and appellate competition throughout the country.  During his third and final year, under a student practice order, Alex was selected to serve as an active criminal practitioner helping individuals in Bronx County charged with misdemeanors and violations.

A New York native with an opposite coast foray for college, these days Alex is a committed Brooklynite who still loves to travel and experience cultures from around the world.  Alex has traveled to all seven continents – and yes, that does include Antarctica!

Alex doesn’t mind diving deep into a problem or issue.  As an avid scuba diver, he’s no stranger to seeing things most people never see, in ways most people never see them.
