A lot of people don’t know this but if you are working more than 40 hours a week the presumption is that you should be paid overtime for that extra work that you do in the workweek. Now, there are certain situations when it’s fine to pay somebody a salary and not pay for overtime, however, a lot of times companies get this wrong and the employees are actually entitled to the overtime pay that the should have gotten in the first place.
